Welcome to my new subscribers! This newsletter contains `What`s new on the website?`, a Destination in the Spotlight and a Photo of the Month. I`ll publish some of my pictures, but it`s open for everyone to submit . If you would like to see your picture published on my website, just send me a note through my Contact me page.
When I look back on the previous month, there have been quite some new additions! But before we get you up to speed, I want to talk about the World Cup 2010.
Yes, it`s here! A month filled with rooting for your favorite team, friends coming together to watch the matches … one big celebration! This year the World Cup will be held in South Africa, so there is more to see besides soccer. If you`re looking for more information on what there is to see or when the matches will be played, check here. Feel free to share your thoughts on the World Cup on that page too!
What`s new?
I`ve uploaded the rest of my pictures and written more about my trip through Italy. I`ve been to Sorrento, Capri with a boat trip around the island and a visit to the Blue Grotto. We drove down the Amalfi Coast, all the way down to the south of Italy to Calabria. The last day I spent in Rome. After this trip I have some tips compiled for you when you`re traveling through Italy, especially about the driving ;-) Have a look at this funny video.
Some of you might remember that I contributed to a travel game were travel bloggers were tagged and were asked to share their 3 Best Kept Travel Secrets. Well, no they`ve compiled all the travel tips they got from bloggers all over the world into 7 e-books. And they are FREE for you to download! I started a new serie: Beach in the Spotlight, for #BeachThursday I`ll put a beach in the spotlight every week. For those of you who don`t know what BeachThursday is, you can read here how it all started. And there were already two beaches explored. The Prince Edward Island Beaches and the Great Fort Lauderdale Beaches.
Destination in the Spotlight
As destination in the spotlight, I`ve chosen Valencia. For the reason I`m invited by Valencia Tourism to go on a blog trip to explore the Valencia region. I`ll be going from June 23rd till June 27th and I will be tweeting about it and uploading pictures & travel stories on my website of the sights I`ll see.
Not only will we be visiting the city of Valencia, but also the region. Valencia is the current location of the Formula One European Grand Prix and I`ll try to attend this event in the weekend I`m there.
I haven`t seen the full itinerary but I`m sure we`ll see & do lots of fun things and I`ll be happy to share my experiences with you afterwards :)
I`m already looking forward to seeing the work of Santiago Calatrava. Like the one above: The Hemispheric at the Ciutat de les Arts I les Cičncies Santiago Calatrava.
