Oregon Coast near Gold Beach
The Oregon coast offers some of the most spectacular beach scenery I've ever seen. As someone who's traveled most of the Pacific Coast in California, the thing that struck me about Oregon was the solitude. Save for some protected forest areas, development is dense along most coastal areas. In Oregon, the cities are an hour east, while the coast includes one state park after another. A drive along HWY 101 in Oregon is unforgettable. This shot was taken in the southern part of the state near Gold Beach.
