HOW AND WHEN DO YOU BUY A PLANE TICKET?
If you do it yourself and you’re flying out somewhere, start with searching for a
good ticket price
before making an accommodation reservation, because sometimes in just a time frame of a few days there’s a whole price difference. The accommodation is usually wider in choice.
HOW ABOUT BOOKING YOUR ACCOMMODATION?
What is most important to you?
Kind of accommodation: luxurious or comfortable and affordable OR a good location.
Sometimes it depends on what you’re going to do. If I visit a city, my priority is a good location.
Usually the luxurious hotels at a good location are very expensive, so I search reviews on the internet on hotels that offer, besides a great location, clean and comfortable rooms and is still affordable.
But if I go on a relaxing vacation to ‘forget the world’ I like being pampered, so I look for luxurious hotels. Even if that means spending more money. But I still try to find a good deal!

WHERE TO LOOK FOR HOTEL REVIEWS?
I find it very useful to search a bit on the internet for reviews on hotels. An example is
Zoover.
You’ll always find negative and positive reviews on the same hotels, because people do have different priorities.
Some don’t care about a fancy bathroom, as long as it’s clean. Other people expect more from the services they paid for.
But if you read the reviews with these thoughts in mind, you can certainly get a global picture on what you can expect!
