A magical sunset in Scotland

By Isabelle 2 Comments

Sun setting over the rolling hills of Scotland

Scotland has a reputation of being gloomy, especially in the winter time. But on my recent trip for Hogmanay, a three day New Years celebration, I learned otherwise. After the celebrations in Edinburgh, I found myself on a trip to Glencoe, Isle of Skye, Loch Ness, … On our way back to Edinburgh we made a detour because of a road closure and saw this beautiful sunset. The combination of the gorgeous scenery of Scotland and the light of the sun setting made for a magical moment.

I think you were meant to make that detour just for this view! So lovely. Scotland is a magical land and I can’t wait to get back there. We lucked out with nice weather when we were there last year, and were reminded that it’s not always so pretty. Glad you enjoyed nice winter weather on your visit!
