Carry-On’s for Couples

Carry-on

When we travel for short trips, we bring two carry-on’s, and two personal bags (to fit under the seat in front of us) on flights. So, that allows us to bring four small clear bags filled with liquids & gels! (1 for Guy & 3 for Girl!)

It’s worked for us every time & we’re able to bring all of our (Girl’s) bathroom needs!

Not so easy in Europe…

Security have been very strict about this in the UK lately. You are only allowed ONE bag to carry through security and only one bag of toiletries per person.

At least they don’t check whether or not the toiletries really belong to you 😉

Hi Isabelle,

That’s what we thought too, but the security guards stand there watching us, as we take out four clear bags from two carry-on’s & from two personal bags! Plus, I take out a fifth bag filled with Visine, extra contacts, & contact lenses cleaner – but this bag doesn’t really count because it’s considered medical.

Oh, and yes, Girl’s got a packing problem – She must take the whole bathroom! 😛

(We just did it this past weekend going from PHL to MSY & then back again!)

Question

You never had troubles getting through TSA? Because as far as I knew, it was only one clear bag per person? On the TSA website it also says: “One-quart bag per person limits the total liquid volume each traveler can bring.” I’ll have to check that out some more 🙂
Still, with two persons you can devide your bathroom necessities! And let’s face it, girls just need a bit more of those 😉
