In the footsteps of adventurers

By Isabelle Leave a Comment

Jordan has been an inspiration to many writers and film directors with its breathtaking scenery and famous archaeological sites.

TinTin in Jordan

Remember when Indiana Jones traveled to the Canyon of the Crescent Moon to find the Holy Grail that promised everlasting life. In the movie you see Petra and I can`t believe I`ll be standing in front of it in a few days.

One of the other adventurers that comes to mind is TinTin. TinTin is a journalist with a hunger to explore the world. The character was invented by Belgian artist Georges Rémi, who wrote under the pen name of Hérge. Last weekend the movie “The new adventures of TinTin” had his premiere in Belgium, my home country. And made my feet itch to discover more of the world!

I`m very happy to be following the footsteps of many adventurers and explore Jordan on this 7 day trip. I`ll be flying with Royal Jordanian into Amman and start my journey from there.

I`ll be visiting Petra during the day and also by night! Which I`m really looking forward to, as many have described this as one of their highlights when visiting Jordan. I`ll be checking out Aqaba and make my way to Wadi Rum, also known as The Valley of the Moon. (I wonder what happens when it rains at the Desert?)

Next I`ll travel to Wadi Al Mujib and proceed to the Dead Sea, where I`ll be enjoying a spa treatment 🙂

I`ll be accompanied on this trip by the lovely @insidetravellab and can`t wait to share my tweets, photos and stories with you.

Make sure to follow my adventures on Twitter!

I`ll be visiting Jordan on invitation of the Jordan Tourism Board
