It’s Not Too Late to Enjoy Some Majorcan Winter Sun

By Isabelle Leave a Comment

Although we associate holidays with the summer months, there is nothing stopping you from catching a much-needed dose of late season sunshine in a beautiful holiday destination before heading home for a traditional Christmas with your family.

Majorca is one of these destinations that not only makes a wonderful place to enjoy a summer holiday, but is also the perfect place to catch the cooler yet still pleasant rays of winter sun.

Beaches, Boat Trips and More

If you are worried that all of the excursions and sightseeing trips in Majorca’s resorts will have stopped outside of the peak season, don’t be; you will still be able to enjoy the boat trips and other great opportunities for memorable days out that are available during the summer months.

You should also make the most of being in Majorca in the off-season and enjoy beautiful, un-crowded beaches with pristine white sands, as well as take a trip on a boat round to Formentor Beach and soak up the views of this incredible coastline.

If you feel like getting a little more adventurous, why not take to horseback to explore the coastal trails? It will give you a totally new perspective on the island that few tourists see, even during the peak season, and provide you with some incredible photographic opportunities too – great news for budding photographers hoping to head home with some unique snaps.

The local markets will also still be in full swing throughout the winter months and you will find them much less crowded than at the peak of summer, with plenty of bargains to be found. Visit the market in Calvia on a Monday and try some incredible traditional recipes alongside some fabulous fresh local produce.
