5 reasons to stay at London Bridge Hotel

By Isabelle Leave a Comment

Because London, the largest city within the European Union, covers miles of history, art, entertainment, fashion and so much more, it can be a challenge to find the right place for you to stay. Insert my latest stay at the London Bridge Hotel. The name already reveals its location and for me that was definitely one of the biggest reasons why you should stay here.

Location

The 4* boutique hotel is located in the London Bridge Quarter, close to London Bridge Station, which makes it a very easy location to get to. Across the road from Borough Market, Southwark Cathedral and the London Dungeon is just around the corner. When you cross London Bridge, you get to the Monument, St Paul`s Cathedral, Bank of England and much more. By the way, crossing London Bridge gives you a beautiful view of Tower Bridge. And if you want to visit South Bank with the London Eye, just hop on the number 26 bus to Waterloo and you`re there in 15 minutes.

Rooms

I stayed in a standard double room, offering a comfy bed with duvet and choice of pillow. A big screen TV, a minibar, tea and coffee-making facility, safe and a nice bathroom with White Company toiletries. There`s even an iron and ironing board for your convenience.

Quarter Bar

The Quarter Bar, located next to the hotel, has a relaxing and comfortable feel to it. If you like a cocktail, then this is the place to be. I already tried a Virgin Mojito during my last visit, so I was curious to taste something else. This time I went for Joel`s Tropical Dream, pineapple and mango juice mixed with fresh lime juice and passion fruit syrup. It was delicious!

Londinium restaurant

Located on the lower ground floor of the hotel, you can find the Londinium restaurant. They mixed up history with contemporary design, added soft lighting and relaxing music and you have yourself the perfect setting for a delightful meal. What I liked most was the great offer they have, 2 for 1 on their main courses.

Complimentary Wifi

I can`t stress enough how important wifi is for me as someone who`s livelihood is online and having to pay extra for it at a hotel is just unnecessary in my opinion (Travelers who don`t need it as much as I do, might disagree).

Hotel rates start from 120 GBP per night for weekend rates excluding breakfast and VAT for a standard double room. You can find availability here.

I was invited as a guest, but all opinions in this post are my own.
