My first vacation day in the USA

Travel Diary

Good morning! This is my first vacation day and I slept like a baby…was it because of the hour’s difference or the long flight yesterday? Or because of the comfortable beds? I don’t know. But I’m ready for breakfast! This is complimentary > nice! The breakfast is as I remembered from previous stays at a Marriott hotel: good! There were bagels, muffins, cereals, yoghourt, eggs, coffee, juice,… and to my surprise: waffles! You could bake your own waffles, yummy 🙂

After breakfast I had a relaxing day. Because I wasn’t taking a shuttle to the Delaware beach until tomorrow, I decided to check out the nearest mall. A short taxi drive took me there and as in most malls in the US, plenty of choice! I checked out the bigger stores: Old Navy, Gap,… and some others and had a great time! In every mall there is a Food Court were you have the choice to eat something Italian, American, Chinese,… which is quite convenient when you’re shopping for a couple of hours!

After my shopping trip, I went back to the hotel, to do some research on the internet. Yep, free internet, offered by Marriott. Even if you didn’t bring your own laptop, there is a computer at the lobby for your use, together with a printer if you need to print boarding passes. I would recommend the SpringHill Suites BWI because of the great service, the comfortable beds and the free breakfast and internet! And the shuttle takes you to and from the airport in about 15 minutes.

Tomorrow I’m heading to the beach! Let the relaxation begin 😉
