My relaxing vacation: the first week.

Travel Diary

I’m on my summer vacation and it’s a relaxing vacation, so I decided to give you a weekly update instead of a daily update.

On Saturday I came from Baltimore to the beach, Bethany Beach. It’s located in the state of Delaware, between Ocean City (MD) and Rehoboth Beach. I took a shuttle to get here, called Bayrunner Shuttle, they drive from BWI (Baltimore airport) to Ocean City.

Because I’m staying here for a few weeks, I decided to rent an apartment. Even though there are other accommodations available, like the Holiday Inn Express or a motel called Bethany Arms. But if you’re staying for a longer period, renting is the most convenient way. This way you have more space: you have your own kitchen, refrigerator, separate bedroom and even laundry facilities!

The weather has been gorgeous and with the beach only a few feet away… let the vacation begin! So, what do you do while on a beach vacation? Well, going to the beach of course 🙂 Put up your umbrella, take a chair and a book…relax. If you have kids, they can build sand castles, look for sea shells, play in the water and the sand! They love it!

In the evenings it’s nice to take a walk on the boardwalk, go for a stroll around the town for a bit, browse through the shops, try the delicious ice creams (my favorite is Chocolate-Marshmallow 🙂 … They even have music performances at the weekends, where you can just sit and enjoy or dance for a bit! There are different restaurants to choose from, so you don’t have to cook if you don’t want to.

I would say, the first week of my summer vacation, has been a great week for me!
