The skyline of Valletta Malta

By Isabelle 2 Comments

The skyline of Valletta, Malta

Valletta is the capital of Malta. It is located in the central-eastern portion of the island of Malta and it is a historical city. Valletta contains buildings from the 16th century onwards, the city was officially recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1980.

Where can you find Malta?

The Maltese archipelago lies virtually at the center of the Mediterranean, with Malta south of Sicily and north of Africa. The archipelago consists of three islands: Malta, Gozo and Comino. Malta is the largest island with lots of culture and history. Gozo is the second largest island and is more rural, characterized by fishing, tourism, crafts and agriculture while Comino is largely uninhabited.

So beautiful and so doable! Malta isn’t too far from where I am. Thanks for the inspiration :-). I imagine that history is alive there.

Beautiful! Malta is easy for us to get to from Italy so I have no idea why we haven’t been there yet!
