Valencia city Spain

By Isabelle 2 Comments

I got invited to the Valencia Region by www.landofvalencia.com together with a group of amazing travel bloggers!

I arrived together with @traveldudes to the Valencia airport to be taken to Valencia city. After a short introduction to @joantxo, who organized all of this, Claudia, our tour guide took us under her wings to show us around and let us have a taste of this beautiful city.

First up: City of Arts and Sciences – the work of Santiago Calatrava really impressed me! Take a look yourself, because in this case photos say more than words.

After the amazing visit at the City of Arts and Sciences, it was time to explore the old city center of Valencia. We started at the Mercado Central de Valencia, which is a covered market with fresh fish, fruit, vegetables,… Claudia told us that they once there were opera singers in here to promote Opera in Valencia. They did it in a very special way:

Wandering around in the city, we came across some beautiful old buildings, narrow streets and lovely squares…

And of course you can`t forget to have a taste of the Spanish food, so we met up with @adventuregirl, Phil and @velvetescape to have some paella at La Riua. I have to say this was the best paella I had!

Time to meet the other travel bloggers of our group at Sha Wellness Clinic, where we`ll be spending the night.

Valencia has it all: beautiful city center, delicious food and great events. Like the Formule 1, I`ll be telling you more about later 😉

This was a sponsored blog trip by Valencia Tourism and the flights by Tourist Office of Spain. However the opinions of this post are my own.
