The Sha Wellness Clinic was founded by Alberto Bataller. He opened the world`s first macrobiotic clinic after he himself had health issues. His goal is to share and spread the valuable philosophy of the health benefits of macrobiotics.

When body, mind and spirit are in harmony, the result is health and happiness, only then we can experience our true potential.

Situated in Albir Beach, nearby the picturesque town of Villa de Altea, SHA sits on a beautiful mountainside overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. 80 minutes away by car from Valencia Airport and 40 minutes by car from Alicante International Airport.

Rooms My room had a beautiful bathroom with L`Occitane products, a seating area, a comfortable bed, flat screen TV, internet, spacious terrace and stunning views!

Cuisine

The cuisine is macrobiotic. The Chef, Pablo Montoro, uses organic products, based on precise indications by the experts in medicine and nutritional therapists, changing SHA’s cuisine in a very effective healthy source. My favorite was the dessert: chocolate coulant with ginger ice-cream, biscuit crumbs and apple crunch.

You can relax and forget about the world for a minute by enjoying the facilities this place has to offer: massages, yoga, beauty treatments,... But of course it`s a clinic that specializes in changing your way of living to a healthier one, so they offer natural therapies, medical services, facial treatments,... and you can have private lessons in cooking, meditation techniques and so on. They recently won the Conde Nast Traveller`s award for ‘Best Medical Spa in the World’.

Personal experience

What I loved most about this hotel was the tranquility that comes over you when entering the hotel. My room was spacious with a comfortable bed and a beautiful bathroom with rain shower, which was lovely! In the room there was soothing music playing in the background, completely relaxed, I enjoyed my stunning view from my room. Unfortunately I didn`t have the chance this time to experience any of the spa treatments, but I`m sure they are lovely, as the rest of the facilities were. The panoramic view from above, together with the cabanas & swimming pool can take you miles away in thoughts. No wonder Gwyneth Paltrow, Naomi Campbell and Kylie Minogue already checked out this place!
