I`ve been to the Big Apple a few times now (6 if I`m counting correctly), sometimes it was just a day trip from a neighboring city, but usually I stayed in the city for a few days. Because New York has so much to offer, I still haven`t seen half of it. I try to explore different parts of the city every time I go. I thought it would be nice to bundle all these experiences into a short overview because if it`s your first visit to NY or you only have a few days, it can be overwhelming what to see. Of course these are my personal interests and they can be different from yours, but I hope they will give you some guidance.
To see the days in full detail, just click on them.
DAY 1: Visiting the highlights of the city by bus. Or you can opt to walk, take the metro or a taxi.
DAY 2: Taking the ferry to Liberty Island to visit the Statue of Liberty and go for an afternoon stroll in Central Park with a visit to one of the nearby museums. And in the evening either a sports game or a show.
DAY 3: This day can be filled by what your preferences are: you can either spend some more time in one of the museums you missed on day 2 or you can go shopping!
New York has so much to do, as it is the city that never sleeps, so 3 days will just give you a taste of this awesome city.
As you can see when you browse through the 3 days, I`ve divided them in a way if you have less than 3 days, you can only do 1 day or 2 days. Some of you might want to explore the city by region: Downtown, Midtown and Uptown. And spend one day in each region, that`s a possibility too!
Maybe you want to know where to eat in NY? Then read up on Eating places in New York.
If you have more time and you want to visit nearby location, why not try the Long Island wine tasting or visit their beaches.
New York is beautiful in every season and there are so many events, think Fashion Week, the Thanksgiving Parade, summer festivals… but my favorite is Christmas time in New York.
