What better way to do a road trip in Florida then in a Muscle car, the Ford Mustang. 240 miles of cruising from Miami to Orlando, passing by Fort Lauderdale with a stop at the Everglades. Palm Beach with its beautiful beaches, a visit at the NASA Space Center and of course a day at the Universal Parks in Orlando. To hire one of the adrenaline cars from Hertz for a week is around £800 this includes all insurance, toll pass and also a tank of petrol.
I was invited on this trip by Visit Florida, but all opinions are my own.

Brought back some happy memories for me with this! Have done 3 or 4 road trips in Florida, and always been fascinating. There is, as so often with places which attract lots of publicity, so much more to see and do than you think there is, history, great food and natural environment, and the roads are so easy to drive is you’re a tourist, probably the most problem-free driving I’ve ever done. The only place I’ve avoided is Miami, but I really need to go back & make up for that I think!

I agree Linda, I wish I had had more time to see more off the beaten track gems. Unfortunately time was limited, but I would love to go back one day and do it over, but during a longer period. Would also love to do a road trip from the East to the West Coast, now there is a road trip!
Glad it brought back happy memories for you and yes, definitely go back to Miami and try cruising around on two wheels: a Vespa 🙂

Not sure about the States, but, in Europe, I reckon the Renault Scenic is THE road tripping car, especially if you have a family. My daughter and my nephew … both of whom have 3 kids … have them & swear by them. And, I’m on my THIRD … you can just about fit anyone and anything into them.

Sounds like the perfect car for a big family 😉 Thanks for sharing!
