East USA Travel Guide

New York Acadia National Park White Mountains Philadelphia

Use this travel guide to discover what a GREAT destination the East USA is! I have traveled to the East USA several times and every time I set foot on US ground it feels like coming home!

I went sightseeing and shopping in the Big Apple, visiting the National Parks, meeting my friends,... It’s been quite a lot and I loved all of it!

NEW YORK

If you’re looking for an extraordinary city trip, this is the place to be! New York is not comparable with any other city in the world. It IS the city that never sleeps, it IS the city that gets to you (or you like it or you hate it!), it IS the city that’s busy, hectic and BIG, but oh so FABULOUS!!!

NEW ENGLAND

New England is composed of six states: Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Conneticut and Rhode Island.

The state of Maine is known for it's long coastline with a lot of lighthouses. But here you can also find Acadia National Park. If you like nature and beauty, this is definitely a trip you have to make.

It’s hard to explain how it all looks, sometimes pictures say more than words. And this is such a case.

White Mountains

This part of the East Coast has a magic feeling to it in the fall. With the leaves turning, it’s a true color show. That’s why millions of visitors come during autumn, because this region is known for the beautiful foliage (that is how they call the changing of the leaves).

White Mountains

But there’s so much more to see: Mount Washington, White Mountains National Forest, waterfalls and covered bridges.

Martha's Vineyard

I haven't been to this destination (yet! ;-) It's definitely on my list. If you want more information, check out following website.

Martha's Vineyard Vacation Tips A personal guide to visiting Martha's Vineyard. Tips from a family's vacations on the island including advice for lodging, dining, beaches...and places to hunt for live starfish and play with alpaca.

PHILADELPHIA

I flew into Baltimore International Airport, because I was going to the beach first. Then met up with friends at Philadelphia. We made a daytrip to Philly. You can read all about it in my travel journal: Visit Philly.
While I was in the neighborhood, I went on a shopping spree at the King of Prussia Mall.

Liberty Bell, Philadelphia

During this trip to the East USA, we also went to see how the Amish people live.

After this get-together in Philadelphia, I took the train back to BWI.
