The Empire State Building in NYC

Do you have a place you can return to over and over and it still surprises you?

Well, New York City is that place for me. There are a few cities I call amongst my favorites, like Salzburg, Lisbon, Queenstown,… but New York just won me over with its sparkling character.

You know that feeling of excitement you have when you`ve been on the lookout for something and you can call it yours at the end of the day. You know that feeling when you listen to a singer hitting that high note just right, captivating you with their music, it gives you goose bumps. The feeling when you`ve been longing for someone and you finally get to hold that person in your arms…

Yes, New York gives me those feelings. My recent visit to New York wasn`t different than any of the other times. New York keeps astonishing me with its charm.

The Empire State Building and me, we had this short term love affair. During my first visit to New York City, years ago, I went up this skyscraper to have a look over the city from above … beautiful views. However I must admit, going up the Top of the Rock after that, gave me an even better view of the city. You can see both the Empire State Building and Central Park (another one of my favorites in the city).

This time however it seemed as the Empire State Building was flirting with me and trying to win my love back, by popping up against the sky every time I looked around, never being far from my view.
